At the helm of Ayanah (Yanni) and Javon’s wedding weekend in Jamaica was Oniki Hardtman, the Wedding Designer and Planner of Oh Niki Occasions.  With her prowess and detailed timelines for this grand expedition, she coordinated the hand-picked team of vendors in what was to become a LIT celebration on the Ballroom Terrace of the Hyatt Ziva. #DestinationDavis

It all started with a welcome party on the east pool lawns on Friday, March 13. Family and friends jammed and chitchat over cocktails as they were reunited and got acquainted ahead of the nuptials.

Immediately following Rev. Roxy’s opening remark was the entrance of the parents and the bridal party, lead by Javon, who assembled to either side of the altar to the sounds of Daniel Caesar’s – Best Part (Feat. H.E.R)

Ayanah dolled in a P’nina Tornai gown from (Kleinfield Bridal – Manhattan, NY) made her way down the mirrored-aisle between a bevy of floral arrangements atop white pedestals and Tamia’s – I Do.  This would be her first time seeing Javon on their wedding day.  The Sky Deck, perched five floors high and overlooking the undisturbed waters of the Caribbean Sea, made for a perfect backdrop to their flower canopy with the many complimenting smiles from their invited guests. (3:53 mins.)

The ceremony included the remembrance of a recently passed loved one and made for a tear-filled yet, appropriate honour to their families.  With personalised vows, it all came down to to Ayanah and Javon’s public agreement to forever and a day.  Let’s say, Ayanah now holds the official record for the longest “I do” as she melodically belted them for the better part of 6 seconds, followed by laughter and applause by their guests.

Vibing to On The Run (Part II) – Beyonce & Jay Z  the Mr. & Mrs. Davis exited the Sky Deck and were in the hands of their photography team @joshua_dwain.  In the meantime, the guest mulled on the lower lawns to background music from 876 Sounds while being refreshed with hors d’oeuvres beneath the steps of the Ballroom Terrace.

The duo, escorted by Oniki to the Ballroom Terrace eyes closed in true honour of a reception reveal, Joshua captured a few official photos of the untouched space along with their priceless expressions.

Jermaine Johnson, the evening’s master of ceremonies invited guests to the terrace to yet another Beyonce jam – Love on Top.   The bridal party was later introduced against the backdrop of the 1981 hit Before I let go -Frankie Beverly & Maze

Yanni and Javon’s love for the album Everything is Love was reinforced with their reception entrance – APES**T – The Carters.  Together, Mr. & Mrs. Davis made their grand entrance on their black custom designed, vinyl-wrapped dance floor and wasted no time in delivering their complimenting individual performances much to the pleasure of their screaming guests.  With careful coordination, they positioned for the official first dance as husband and wife to the classic Luther Vandross – If this world were mine – (feat. Cheryl Lynn)

There was pure bliss watching them “dance on the clouds” with a backdrop of fireworks (cold sparks) to make this picturesque experience that more magical and like the fairytale they dreamed about.  This dance was shared with their parents as a surprise with them taking turns to bask in this moment.

Gentlemen: Kevin Reeves, Wesley Leary, Jerell Barnes, Navarr Grevious and Mikael Pyles
Ladies: Ainka Munroe, Gabrielle Thompson, Kristina Whyte, Alexis Posey and Nicole Hawkins

Guests were treated to a traditional Jamaican buffet that included red pea soup, escoveitch fish, roasted jerk chicken and Jamaican rum fruit cake.

There were the many reception rituals all taking place on the dance floor including garter placement and removals, bouquet toss, fraternity/sorority serenades (4:22) and trolling from the groomsmen (4:40)

They partied the night to soca, trap, reggae, hip hop & r&b and even got a little 15-minutes bonus time  from the resort as we brought the curtains down on #DestinationDavis at 10:15 pm.

Cheers to Ayanah and Javon’s lifetime of love and unforgettable time with their family and friends here on the island of Jamaica
