Question 1

How do we secure our date with 876 Sounds?

Accepted Answer

To guarantee exclusivity, we require a signed agreement and a 25% retainer/booking fee. Dates are often booked 12-18 months in advance. Once your booking is settled, your date is officially off the market.

Question 2

How does 876 Sounds handle venue vendor fees at Jamaica resorts?

Accepted Answer

Some resorts in Jamaica charge a fee for outside vendors. As the client, you are responsible for settling this fee directly with the venue. We are happy to provide any documentation — including insurance certificates and permits — that the venue requires to approve our access.

Question 3

What are the payment options for booking 876 Sounds?

Accepted Answer

We accept major credit cards (VISA, Mastercard) via our secure online portal, as well as direct bank transfers. Detailed payment instructions are provided upon booking.

Question 4

Can we opt out of social media coverage at our wedding?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We are accustomed to working with high-profile clients and frequently accommodate requests for delayed posting (embargoes), curated sharing (only specific segments), or a strict No-Post policy. Your comfort and privacy are our priority and we will adjust our terms accordingly.

Question 5

Does 876 Sounds use one person as DJ and MC, or a two-person team?

Accepted Answer

For the ultimate destination wedding experience, we intentionally utilize a two-person team: a dedicated DJ and a separate Master of Ceremonies. By separating these roles, our DJ remains 100% focused on live mixing and curating a flawless sonic journey, while your dedicated MC serves as the polished host, managing the timeline and coordinating with your planner. This dynamic chemistry ensures an epic, engaging performance from the first toast to the final song.

Question 6

What is included in 876 Sounds' audio and DJ production?

Accepted Answer

We provide a comprehensive, concert-grade audio experience. Our standard production includes multi-zone audio with separate independent sound systems for each location (Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, Reception), acoustic optimization tuned to your venue, and aesthetic integration including a sleek DJ booth that can be custom-wrapped with your monogram or design. We adhere to a strict clean-cabling policy to ensure your photos are never cluttered by wires.

Question 7

How does 876 Sounds curate the music to match our vision?

Accepted Answer

We use a three-step 'Planned Spontaneity' approach. First, the Sonic Blueprint — during consultations we map out your musical DNA, cultural heritage, and the energy arc you want for the night. Second, the Collaborative Cloud Portal — you and your planner get exclusive access to our live planning tool to build Must Play and Do Not Play lists. Third, Intuitive Execution — on the wedding day, we use this as our north star while reading the room in real time to keep the dance floor packed.

Question 8

Why is a final planning consultation required before our wedding?

Accepted Answer

We operate with a strict Zero-Assumption policy. The Final Creative Sync, held 7-21 days prior, is non-negotiable. This session locks the final Run of Show and timeline, confirms phonetic pronunciations for the Grand Entrance, and reviews specific cues for entrances, the First Dance, and special performances. It ensures that on your wedding day, you can fully relax knowing our team has every technical detail under complete control.

Question 9

Do you work with destination couples planning their Jamaica wedding from abroad?

Accepted Answer

Yes — the majority of our clients are destination couples planning from the US, UK, and Canada. We have served couples from New York, New Jersey, Chicago, South Florida, and internationally. Our entire process is designed for remote planning, with video consultations, a cloud-based planning portal, and 24-hour communication response times. You do not need to visit Jamaica before your wedding day to have every detail perfectly executed.

Question 10

Which venues in Jamaica does 876 Sounds have experience at?

Accepted Answer

We have extensive experience at Jamaica's leading luxury venues including Moon Palace Jamaica, Rose Hall Great House, Trident Castle (Portland), Pattoo Castle, Half Moon, Bellefield Great House, Tryall Club, Round Hill, Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, and Norse Hill Estate. We are familiar with the load-in requirements, acoustics, and event flow at each venue, which means no surprises on your wedding day.
